Job Description The EdD Work-Study / Teaching Assistant (TA) positions support administration, faculty, course and instructional delivery, virtual and in-person meeting support, and program operations within the Doctor of Education (Ed.
D.) program. This role is designed to provide doctoral students with opportunities to develop proficiencies in teaching, research, academic leadership, and higher education administration while contributing meaningfully to program efficiency and student success. The position seeks to integrate scholarly practice with applied experience, preparing doctoral students for leadership roles in P20 education, policy, and organizational settings. Primary Responsibilities 1 Position will support the Cohort AI Hub (and/or the current research/assessment team) 1 Position will support the program at large 1 Teaching Assistant Position, who will support the program at large. 1 Teaching Assistant Position Instructional Support Assist faculty with semester course preparation, and instructional design, in coordination with the Academic Technology team. Facilitate online or in-person discussions, seminars, or breakout sessions as scheduled and announced by the program Support the integration of learning technologies (e.g., LMS platforms), as well as other current and appropriate use of software and online tools.
TA:
Provide feedback on student assignments using established rubrics, in coordination with faculty of record. Student Engagement & Mentorship Serve as a peer mentor to five (5) first semester Ed.
D. students, including those in earlier stages and semesters of the program Support cohort engagement and community-building activities Assist in on-boarding new doctoral students Serve on the Residency-Commencement Planning Team, including on-site support before and during the events. Research Support Collaborate with faculty on ongoing research projects Conduct literature reviews and synthesize scholarly sources for program, administration, and faculty projects as needed. Assist with data collection, organization, and preliminary analysis Program Administration Assist with coordination of program events (e.g., residencies, workshops, dissertation boot camps) Support accreditation and assessment efforts through data collection and reporting, where requested by the program. Additional Teaching Assistant Responsibilities Assessment & Evaluation Assist in grading assignments under faculty and program supervision Track student course progress and identify areas for early academic support Support program-level assessment projects, both annually, and project-based.
