After Care Aide Job Summary:
The After Care Aide provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children during after-school hours. The role involves supervising activities, assisting with homework, promoting positive behavior, and ensuring the well-being of all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise children during after-school programs and activities. Assist students with homework and educational tasks. Organize and lead recreational, arts, crafts, and group activities. Monitor children's behavior and encourage positive social interactions. Ensure the safety and security of children at all times. Assist with snack distribution and cleanup. Maintain a clean and organized activity area. Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and program staff. Follow all program policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Report incidents, injuries, or concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Experience working with children is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to supervise groups of children positively and professionally. First Aid and CPR certification required. Ability to pass background checks as required.
