Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team at Nova Learning Center. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role involves working closely with students, particularly those with autism, to promote their social, emotional, and academic development. The Assistant Teacher will contribute to lesson planning, classroom management, and the overall educational experience of our students. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities. Support behavior management strategies to foster a positive classroom environment. Engage with students individually and in groups to reinforce learning objectives. Help develop and adapt curriculum materials tailored to meet the needs of all learners. Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting conducive to learning. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to lead teachers regarding individual student needs. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss student development and progress. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Requirements Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must pass national criminal background/fingerprint check. Must have reliable transportation. Become Pediatric CPR Certified Complete on-broad trainings
