Multiple Teacher Assistant positions available

Student Population:

Elementary-aged students with developmental disabilities Responsibilities Teacher Assistants will work alongside classroom teachers and other school professionals to provide individualized and classroom-based support for students with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities may include assisting with academic activities, reinforcing behavioral and social-emotional goals, supporting students with daily routines and transitions, and helping maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. Candidates should be comfortable providing hands-on support to students when needed. Personal care assistance, including toileting, may be part of the position depending on student needs. Qualifications An active Rhode Island Teacher Assistant certification is required. Candidates should also have a patient, dependable, and student-centered approach, along with a genuine interest in supporting children with developmental and special education needs. (RIDE)
