Aug 26, 2026 Job Description Position Summary Tiverton Public Schools is seeking dedicated and student-centered Teacher Assistants to support students and staff at Tiverton High School. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, related service providers, and administrators to support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs within the general education and special education settings. Essential Responsibilities Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups under the direction of certified staff. Assist students in accessing curriculum, completing assignments, and developing organizational skills. Support the implementation of IEP accommodations, modifications, behavior support plans, and other individualized programming. Facilitate student participation in classroom activities, school events, and community-based learning opportunities as appropriate. Assist with data collection and progress monitoring. Support students with social-emotional regulation, communication, and independent living skills as needed. Collaborate effectively with teachers, special educators, related service providers, and administrators. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information in accordance with FERPA and district policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.
