9678540-02893 Job Description Embark on a meaningful journey supporting elementary students as a dedicated classroom paraprofessional. This contract role centers around working hands-on with a group of K-3rd grade students who present a range of disabilities, including language needs and autism spectrum disorders. You will collaborate within a dynamic group of teaching assistants, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for every child.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Previous paraprofessional experience in a school environment strongly preferred Must meet Rhode Island Department of Education (RI DOE) requirements for paraprofessionals Comfort and willingness to assist with toileting and diaper changing as needed Compassionate, patient, and reliable communication style Strong collaborative skillsyoull work alongside 6 other teaching assistants Desire to help students build confidence, independence, and social skills

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide direct assistance to students within an intensive elementary classroom Support educational programs and individualized instructional plans Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and daily needs Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere Ensure students physical needs are met, including hygiene support Partner with teachers and paraprofessional peers to deliver consistent, coordinated care
