Job Summary:
Provide support to the educational process with specific focus on instructional and classroom assistance.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage student learning in accordance with the goals of the District.
  • Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.
  • Organize students for effective instruction.
  • Ensure the adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students.
  • Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies.
  • Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with District policies and practices.
Qualifications:
    Experience:
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    Education:
    • Substitute teacher assistant positions require of the following: Teacher Assistant Training Program Certification with Qualifying Para Pro Assessment test results OR Associates degree along with teacher assistant training certification OR Bachelors degree along with teacher assistant training certification

      Physical Requirements:
      • Walk, climb stairs, bend and lift up to 45lbs.
      • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
      • Must provide a current national background check without disqualifying results at time of hire.
