Job Description

At the SCDMV we have an immediate opening for an out-going, dedicated, passionate and inspiring leader. Raise your hand if that's you! This position is located in Titles & Registration / Infrastructure Maintenance Fee (IMF) Unit, at SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC. Responsibilities of the IMF Program Assistant
  • Uses DMV Phoenix system to process IMF payment and Out of Trust Dealer transactions.
  • Reviews, reconciles, interprets, and reports IMF and Out of Trust data, recommending appropriate action for violation fee payments.
  • Performs refund research working closely with Branch Offices, Dealers and Accounting to have records updated in the database.
  • Serves as a support function for DMV Branch Offices, DMV Business Units and Dealers to assist, and guide with questions about IMF and Out of trust.
  • Performs quality assurance audits on IMF and Out of Trust processing.
  • Performs other related duties as requested, recommending appropriate action for violation of fee payments. Minimum Requirements
  • A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval. Agency Requirements
  • Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include finger printing. Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and program services related to Vehicle Titles and Registration, Infrastructure Maintenance Fee (IMF) program, and Out of Trust Dealer processing.
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, and Phoenix system.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal/external customers both verbally and written.
  • The ability to develop efficient processes and adapt to change.
  • Works under general supervision; however, has discretion to use good judgement in accordance with Best Practices and Procedures.
  • Works in climate-controlled environment at Blythewood Headquarters with normal work hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
  • May require limited travel. Agency Preferred
  • A high school diploma and (4) or more years of experience with relevant program experience.
