A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description

Clemson Montessori School seeks candidates who are interested in becoming part of our dedicated team. Ideal candidates are joyful, energetic, caring, creative, flexible, and have a sense of humor. Responsibilities include helping prepare and maintain beautiful classroom spaces and developmentally appropriate classroom materials, helping plan and prepare snack, engaging meaningfully with children while supervising them throughout the day, and communicating effectively with collaborating teachers, parents and administrators. Both half day half day (morning or afternoon) and full day positions are available. Must have experience working with preschool and elementary age children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting. Experience with Montessori philosophy/ curriculum is a plus. Must complete a background check and be willing to complete 15 paid hours of health and safety training within the first month of employment.
