Job Description
The ideal candidate for the classroom assistant position will be a calm and positive presence in the classroom and school community and put the well-being and education of the children first while they are here. The Classroom Assistant is an important member of the teaching staff and is responsible for all aspects of care of the children in the classroom and must assist in planning and carrying out all directives of the classroom teacher. No Montessori experience is necessary, but candidates must be open to learning about the Montessori method. Assistants will be provided with training and will be responsible for meeting all DSS requirements including background checks and training hours. We are hiring a Classroom Assistant for our Pre-Primary (2K) classroom. The regular hours for a Full-Time Classroom Assistant are 7:45 a.m. until 3:45 p.m., M-F.
