  • Parsons Extension Campus Job Summary The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Instructor to be located in Parsons, Tennessee.
Job Duties The HVAC/R Instructor shall be directly responsible to the institution administration. The instructor shall develop, plan and prepare a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignment and instructional aids, and keep these revised and up to date to meet the requirements of industry. Motivation, conduct, safety, discipline, and appearance of student during the time he/she is on the institution campus are also duties of the HVAC/R Instructor. The instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; evaluate student progress and maintain student records; participate in professional development activities; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college's service area. Some travel is required. Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials in related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of employment experience in the occupation to be taught.
  • Must possess all required certifications and/or accreditations for the field or ability to become certified within twelve (12) calendar months Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy Evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications Physical Demands / Working Conditions Use of computer Normal standing, sitting, and walking Lifting of boxes/items weighing approximately 40 lbs Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed
SALARY RANGE
$56.263
  • $67,517 Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines
