Salary:
Based on education (minimum salary $11.76 per hr.) Benefits include: State of TN Health Insurance, State of Tennessee Retirement, State paid Holidays, Dental/Vision, Life/LTD, Paid Time Off Work schedule - 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 5 days per week 40 weeks (10 mo.) / 80 hrs. bi-weekly.
Job Duties Include:
Assist Head Start Teacher in carrying out a program of instruction for a pre-school classroom of up to 20 children, serve as Teacher Assistant in absence of regular Teacher Assistant, make home visits, encourage parent involvement, and work with other staff concerning enrollment and meeting the needs of families.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; a Child Development Associate Credential preferred. Experience/training in working with preschool children desired; must be willing to continue education. Must pass physical exam, TB screen, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check. Applications will be accepted through June 1, 2026 or until filled.
