Job Description

Work With Young Children and Enjoy a School-Year Schedule Chambliss Center for Children is hiring a Part-Time Classroom Assistant to support children from infancy through age 4 in an early learning program located within Soddy Elementary School. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants a schedule that closely follows the Hamilton County Schools calendar.

Soddy Elementary School:
260 School Street, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379
Schedule Monday:
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Thursday:
11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday:
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $11/hour up to $15 based on education and credentials. What Makes This Role Different? Key Responsibilities Help create a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment Support children's learning through daily activities and play experiences Assist teachers with classroom routines and supervision Encourage positive interactions among children Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Build strong relationships with families, coworkers, and school partners Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Ability to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn Childcare or youth experience is a plus but not required About Chambliss Center for Children Chambliss Center for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children, youth, and families thrive.
