Job Description

Job Overview:
Our private preschool, licensed under the TN Department of Education, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Support Teacher to join our team. This team member will help support all of the various age groups and programs that we offer. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children ages 6 weeks - 5 years of age in a group care setting and a genuine love for working with young children. Here is how we take care of you: Option to move to a 4 x 10 hour shifts after a 90-day probationary period 17-25 paid days off each year (after 90-day probationary period and based on tenure) We pay for your CDA through a proprietary, accredited curriculum so you can advance your career here! Duties Include (but are not limited to): Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child Work with the classroom lead teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum. Maintain a clean and organized classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence Ability to stay on each child's schedule throughout the day, including feeding, diapering, napping, etc. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured activities Communicate effectively with parents regarding their student's day or other information relayed by the students' lead teacher
Requirements:
Previous experience in a group care setting working with children ages 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten required Knowledge of toddler care, infant care, and classroom management techniques CDA preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work well in a team Ability to have a flexable schedule between the hours of 7 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday Physically be able to bend up and down continuously throughout the day while caring for young children Ability to lift 40 pounds Meet all requirements from state and local regulatory agencies, including passing a required background check This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
