  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team.
In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children during their formative years. Your energy and dedication will help foster developmental growth, social skills, and a love for learning in toddlers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, snack time, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and positive interactions. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Help with diapering, toileting routines, and infant/toddler care as needed, following health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately. Assist in maintaining classroom records, activity logs, and safety documentation to ensure compliance with licensing standards. Skills Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) to respond confidently to emergencies. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and social skills among toddlers. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while providing attentive child supervision. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare.
