4:30 PM-6:30 PM Two days of programming at The Pointe at Ben White Two days of programming at Bridge at Cameron No Fridays or weekends About the Position IWRBR Consulting is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and youth-focused Program Assistant to support our Clubhouse Kids Afterschool Program across two Austin communities: The Pointe at Ben White and Bridge at Cameron . The Program Assistant will work alongside the Clubhouse Leader and other program staff to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for students in 1st through 8th grade . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, supporting positive behavior, helping facilitate activities, and keeping students engaged throughout the program. The Program Assistant will split their time between both Austin locations and help ensure consistent, high-quality programming at each site. Key Responsibilities Support the daily operations of the Clubhouse Kids Afterschool Program. Assist the Clubhouse Leader and other program staff with daily program activities. Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for students in 1st through 8th grade . Provide support during literacy activities, homework assistance, STEM projects, arts and crafts, recreation, and social-emotional learning activities. Assist with implementing daily lesson plans and enrichment activities provided by IWRBR Consulting. Provide positive behavior support and help maintain appropriate expectations throughout the program. Engage students in activities and help redirect students when necessary. Build positive and encouraging relationships with students. Support individual students who may need additional academic, behavioral, or social-emotional assistance. Assist with student transitions between activities and maintain an organized program schedule. Monitor student attendance and assist with maintaining accurate program documentation. Help prepare activity spaces and materials before students arrive. Assist with cleaning, organizing, and resetting the clubhouse at the end of each program day. Communicate professionally with the Clubhouse Leader, program staff, property management, and IWRBR Consulting leadership. Travel between The Pointe at Ben White and Bridge at Cameron according to the weekly programming schedule. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow all organizational safety policies and procedures. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, patience, responsibility, and a commitment to youth development. Qualifications Experience working with children or youth in an afterschool program, childcare center, school, summer camp, recreation program, or similar setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students ranging from 1st through 8th grade . Experience with positive behavior support or youth supervision is preferred. Dependable, patient, energetic, and comfortable working in an active youth environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small program team. Ability to work at multiple program locations and adapt to different site environments. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Must be at least 18 years old. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
