Paraprofessional

The Dawson Independent School District is committed to providing a supportive and student-centered learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Jr./Sr. High Paraprofessional to assist teachers and support student success across our secondary campus.

Position Overview:

The Jr./Sr. High Paraprofessional will work under the supervision of certified teachers and campus administration to support instruction, classroom management, and student needs. This role is essential in helping create a positive and productive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist teachers with instructional support and classroom activities-Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts-Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs-Help maintain a structured and orderly classroom environment-Assist with preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization-Monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, and common areas-Provide supervision during transitions, lunch, and other assigned duties-Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures-Perform other duties as assigned by campus administrationBenefits-Health insurance provided by the district-$10,000 life insurance policy-Christmas bonus-Unused local leave reimbursement
