About Dawson ISD:
Dawson ISD is a 2A Division I school located approximately 20 miles from Corsicana, TX, offering a strong sense of community and pride in both academics and athletics. Our district features outstanding facilities, including a brand new football field and track, updated fieldhouse and weight room, turf baseball and softball fields, and a gym built in 2019. We are committed to developing well-rounded students and competitive athletic programs.
Position Overview:
Dawson ISD is seeking a motivated and dedicated Teacher / Boys Assistant Coach to join our team. This position includes teaching 7th-12th grade History along with coaching responsibilities across three boys' sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success both in the classroom and in athletics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach 7th-12th grade History in alignment with TEKS and district expectations
  • Create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning
  • Serve as an assistant coach for boys' athletics (three sports as assigned)
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising practices, games, and athletic events
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among student-athletes
  • Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to support student success
  • Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
  • Uphold district policies, UIL regulations, and professional standards Benefits
