Job Description

Wize Computing Academy is seeking enthusiastic and dependable STEM Teaching Assistants to support elementary and middle school students in after-school Robotics, Coding, and STEAM programs at local school campuses. Teaching Assistants work alongside our instructors to help facilitate fun, hands-on, project-based lessons, provide individual and small-group support, assist students with projects and technology, and create a positive and engaging learning environment where students can build creativity, problem-solving skills, confidence, and an interest in technology. Programs may include LEGO® Robotics, Minecraft Education, Scratch, Roblox, Mobile App Development, Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, and 3D Design. Traditional classroom teaching experience is not required; however, Teaching Assistants should enjoy working with children, have an interest in STEM and technology, and be comfortable learning new technology-based programs while supporting students and instructors during hands-on activities. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist instructors in delivering engaging after-school Robotics, Coding, and STEAM programs for elementary and middle school students.
  • Support students individually and in small groups during hands-on, project-based activities, helping them understand instructions, use technology, and successfully complete projects.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment through classroom management, student support, and assistance with technology, equipment, setup, and cleanup. Qualifications & Skills
  • Interest in STEM, coding, robotics, or technology; prior experience with LEGO® Robotics, Minecraft Education, Scratch, Roblox, AI/ML, AR/VR, or 3D Design is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working with children through teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, childcare, camps, or other youth programs is preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with the ability to help create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Why Join Wize Computing Academy?

$15.00 - $30.00 per hour
