Summer Camp Assistant

Overview Community Montessori School is hiring Summer Camp Assistants for our upcoming summer program. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The Summer Camp Assistant at Community Montessori School supports the Camp Coordinator in supervising campers and maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging camp environment. This role assists with activities, student supervision, and classroom operations. Responsibilities Supervise children at all times to ensure a safe and supportive environment Support daily camp activities, classroom routines, and transitions Assist with arrival, dismissal, and movement throughout the day Help prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and spaces Set up and clean up classrooms and activity areas Maintain clean, organized, and safe indoor and outdoor environments Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements Actively monitor children and respond quickly to safety needs or concerns Report incidents or concerns promptly to supervising staff Support attendance tracking and general classroom operations Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Collaborate with team members and support Lead staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

Work takes place in both classroom and outdoor settings Requires active supervision of children in summer weather conditions Physical activity may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting FLSA & Employment Status Seasonal/temporary Non-exempt Program Dates Session 1: June 1•June 26 Session 2: July 6•July 31

Pay:

$18.00•$25.00 per hour
