To Be Determined Job Description Groom ISD is seeking a dedicated and reliable Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for all students. The Instructional Assistant works under the direction of a certified teacher to provide individualized and small-group support, assist with classroom management, and help ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
- Help monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times
- Support students with special needs in accordance with their IEP or 504 plan
- Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress
