In person About the Position Kumon Math & Reading Center of Little Elm is seeking a patient, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Learning Assistant who enjoys working with young children. The Early Learning Assistant will primarily work with preschool and early elementary students, providing individualized support in math and reading while helping students develop confidence, concentration, proper study habits, and independent learning skills. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in education, teaching, tutoring, or child development . Early Learner / Primary Instruction Work effectively with one or two Early Learner or new Kumon students at a time, providing individualized instruction using the Kumon Method and worksheets. Help students develop proper study habits, work skills, concentration, and independence while becoming familiar with Center routines. Individualize instructional strategies based on each student's ability, progress, and goals in coordination with the Instructor. Continuously observe and assess students' skill development and communicate progress to the Instructor. Work closely with the Instructor to understand each student's lesson plan, goals, and instructional needs. Provide positive encouragement and help students develop confidence in their abilities. Additional Responsibilities Grade and organize student worksheets. Prepare worksheets and other student materials. Assist students with Center routines and procedures. Maintain an organized, welcoming, and positive learning environment. Follow Kumon instructional methods and Center procedures. Qualifications Enjoys working with preschool and elementary-age children. Patient, positive, encouraging, and attentive. Strong basic math and reading skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable and punctual. Able to follow instructional guidelines and work as part of a team. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced learning environment. Previous experience working with children, tutoring, teaching, daycare, or education is preferred but not required . Training will be provided. Schedule & Availability Monday-Thursday, 3:45 PM-7:15 PM Consistent availability during these hours is strongly preferred. Compensation $12.00-$14.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
