Job Description

Assist special education teachers in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher. Involves working with children who have special needs.

Salary Range:
Minimum:

$14.84/hour

Midpoint:

$16.80/hour

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning

Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (District will make application to TEA once candidate is selected)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work with adolescent children Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of general office equipment
