Job Description

The Teacher Assistant Floater supports classrooms across all age groups (infants through Pre-K) to ensure a consistent, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a genuine love for working with young children. Floaters step in where needed to assist lead teachers with daily routines, classroom management, and caregiving responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in classrooms with caregiving routines such as diapering, feeding, potty training, and supervision Support lead teachers with classroom activities, lesson implementation, and daily transitions Engage with children in age-appropriate play, conversation, and learning opportunities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health & safety procedures Develop positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff Provide consistent coverage during teacher breaks, planning time, or absences Be available and willing to work with any age group based on center needs
