Assistant Infant Montessori Teacher Private Employer Plano, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $16 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Education Montessori Food Handler Certification Early Childhood Education Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Infant Montessori Teacher who will be responsible for creating and maintaining a nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children from birth to 18 months. By applying Montessori principles, the Assistant teacher fosters independence and supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of each child. You will be helping the Lead Montessori Teacher with these duties. Duties Establish and maintain a prepared environment that supports the developmental needs of infants. Observe individual children to tailor activities that meet their unique needs. Ensure the classroom remains clean, organized, and reflective of Montessori principles Support physical development through movement activities and practical life exercises. Document observations, daily progress, and milestones for each child. Maintain compliance with Texas state regulations, including proper student-teacher ratios. Communicate regularly with parents through daily reports, quarterly conferences, and updates. Actively participate in professional development to stay current with Montessori techniques. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school community events.
Qualifications:
Degree in early childhood education or a related field (preferred). CPR and food handler certifications (must be current). In-depth understanding of the Montessori method and its application to infants. Strong organizational, observational, and communication skills. Introduce Montessori materials and activities to encourage curiosity, coordination, and sensory exploration.
