Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Grade-level Classroom Aide for grades 4-6 to join our vibrant educational team at Salt Lake Academy. In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students across various grade levels. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster student growth, assist with instructional activities, and ensure that each child receives the personalized attention they need to succeed. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' educational journeys. Responsibilities Assist teachers with daily classroom activities, including lesson implementation and classroom management strategies. Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with individuals with disabilities such as autism. Help prepare instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards in literacy education, math, and other subjects. Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance student understanding of lessons in early childhood education settings. Support behavior management efforts by implementing positive reinforcement techniques and maintaining a safe, respectful classroom environment. Engage in curriculum development activities alongside teachers to tailor lessons for different learning styles and developmental stages. Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school-related events to ensure safety and promote social-emotional development. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings preferred Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Experience with Acadience progress-monitoring Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. Bilingual/Spanish-speaking preferred Experience supporting students with special needs or working within inclusive classrooms is desirable. Previous involvement in lesson planning or curriculum development related to literacy education, math, or early childhood subjects enhances candidacy.
