Teacher Assistant, Montessori/Blended Learning (Grades 1-2) Job Summary Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy is excited to announce openings for teacher assistants in blended grade level classrooms. We are looking for a teaching assistant in a grade 1 and 2 mixed level classroom to support the lead classroom teacher in providing a rich and nurturing classroom environment for students in the classroom. The teacher assistant plays a crucial role in creating and encouraging a positive classroom environment, engaging in shared interactions with students and the lead teacher, interacting with students through small-group lessons and one-on-one interventions, and providing instructional and behavioral support in the classroom. Requirements ( suggested not mandatory ): Experience working with young children Experience as an assistant teacher of children Must have effective and strong communication skills Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program An understanding of the Montessori educational philosophy Creativity Multitasking Responsibilities and Duties Assist head teacher in maintaining the Montessori curriculum, project based and blended learning Assist in the preparation and maintenance of classroom during the school year Maintain order and cleanliness of classroom environment daily Work with head teacher to learn about philosophy of Montessori to further understand the goals of the class and the school Supervise children on the playground and in the classroom Observation Assist head teacher in preparation for parent conferences
