HISTORY TEACHER / ACADEMIC ASSISTANT
Come Make a Difference with Cascade Academy! About Us At Cascade Academy, a residential treatment center, we help adolescent girls struggling with severe anxiety embrace life with courage and joy. We work with girls ages 13-18, helping them achieve their goals and learn how to move through the challenges of debilitating anxiety. We believe each student has unique causes of anxiety, including genetics and physical health, life experiences, patterns of thinking, distress tolerance levels, and relationship skills. Our treatment team addresses each of these areas through individualized treatment plans. Our academy is intentionally small, serving a maximum of 26 students, and is located in the heart of scenic Midway, Utah. Watch "A Day in the Life"

@cascadeacademy Position Overview Cascade Academy is seeking a qualified and passionate History Teacher / Academic Assistant to join our team. This position combines classroom instruction with academic support and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and committed to helping students succeed both academically and personally. Teachers guide students through both online and direct instruction curricula in small classrooms (maximum of 8 students) while supporting individualized educational plans. In addition to teaching History courses, this role assists the Academic Department with scheduling, grading support, student records, and other academic administrative functions. ResponsibilitiesTeaching Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging History lesson plans with support from the Academic Director Provide direct instruction in History courses Grade assignments, essays, projects, and exams Monitor student academic progress and provide feedback Create assessments and learning activities Encourage classroom participation and critical thinking Maintain an orderly and productive classroom environment Write student progress reports and communicate academic updates Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students Academic Assistant Responsibilities Assist with maintaining student academic records and transcripts Support scheduling and coordination of classes, testing, and educational activities Monitor student assignment completion and academic progress Assist students with online learning platforms and educational technology Communicate with teachers, parents, and treatment team members regarding academic needs Organize academic files and documentation Assist with accreditation and compliance-related academic record keeping Support standardized testing administration Assist with special projects, reports, and departmental initiatives Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, organizing materials, and other academic office support functions Qualifications History teaching certification preferred Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred Minimum of 2 years teaching experience Comfortable working with students at varying academic levels Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to create engaging lesson plans and assessments Strong organizational and administrative skills Proficiency with Google Workspace and educational technology platforms Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to pass a background check Excellent interpersonal skills and professional judgment

PM Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour (DOE) Work Location Midway, Utah.
