Mountain Sprouts Children's Center is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our 3-5 year-old classroom and help nurture the next generation of curious explorers! Our center sits on 3.5 acres of beautiful outdoor space , where kids can connect with nature, learn through movement, and engage in a Montessori-style environment designed for independent growth. We offer open enrollment, accept DWS and UPwards subsidies , and are committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive learning experience. Our dedicated staff bring their passion for childhood development into every lesson, supporting each child's unique journey. Who You Are We are looking for an engaging, creative, and patient teacher who understands the developmental needs of preschool-aged children and can help foster an environment of curiosity, independence, and joy . If you love the outdoors, enjoy gardening, and have a knack for turning everyday moments into learning opportunities , you might be the perfect fit! What You'll Do Assist in planning and implementing nature-based, hands-on curriculum that aligns with Montessori principles. Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and play. Encourage independence and self-confidence by creating a classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and valued. Incorporate gardening and outdoor exploration into daily lessons, helping children understand the world around them. Work alongside the lead teacher to foster creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment . Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on each child's progress and experiences. Follow all safety guidelines and licensing requirements to ensure a secure learning environment. What We're Looking For Experience working with 3-5 year olds in a childcare or preschool setting . A passion for nature, hands-on learning, and child-led exploration . Basic knowledge of gardening and an excitement to integrate it into the curriculum. Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills . Ability to work well as a team and support the lead teacher in a dynamic environment.
