Aide -
SPED Essential Elements Please Provide:
Resume Position Overview The Aide - SPED Essential Elements supports the instructional program for students with severe disabilities by assisting with classroom instruction, implementing individualized education plans, supporting student health and daily living needs, and monitoring student behavior and progress under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, assisting students in performing motor development activities. Training Provided. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on the floor with students. Key Responsibilities Adapt classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher to reinforce instructional objectives. Assist students with severe disabilities in completing instructional tasks and daily living activities. Provide health-related assistance and personal care for students as directed by healthcare professionals. Monitor students during classroom and school activities to maintain safety and support behavioral goals. Participate in the implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and instructional plans. Maintain instructional materials and records required for program documentation. Observe and document student progress and communicate information to instructional staff. Attend meetings and training sessions related to special education services and student support. Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate to support implementation of student goals. Perform other related duties as assigned. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in classroom environments and may require physical assistance for students, including lifting, mobility support, and personal care tasks.
