ChildSpace Learning Center | Del Ray, Alexandria, VA $15-$18/hour | Full-time or Part-time ChildSpace Learning Center is looking for a reliable, caring, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our small team. We are a private preschool in the heart of Del Ray serving children ages 2.5-5. Our program is intentionally small, with small class sizes and a warm, welcoming environment. What You'll Do Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Supervise, engage, and play with children throughout the day Help with meals, transitions, outdoor play, and rest time Assist children with bathroom needs, including toileting, diaper changes, and occasional accidents Keep classrooms and common areas clean, organized, and ready for activities Help with daily cleaning, sanitizing, classroom setup, and cleanup Jump in wherever needed to help the day run smoothly What We're Looking For High school diploma or higher Previous experience working with young children preferred Reliable, patient, caring, and comfortable working as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable helping with both childcare and everyday classroom responsibilities Someone who takes initiative and notices what needs to be done What We Offer $15-$18/hour , based on experience and schedule Full-time and part-time opportunities Flexible scheduling Small class sizes and low student-to-staff ratios Performance bonuses Supportive, small-team environment This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with young children, likes staying active and organized, and wants to be part of a small preschool community.
