Job Description

Our client is looking for an energetic, attentive, and experienced Assistant Infant Teacher to join their premier preschool in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6-weeks to 12-months-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering. This is a Direct Hire position with the school The shift for this position is 8:30am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday; year-round employment Full-Time; Monday - Friday; year-round employment Salary $18.25 - $22.60/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Benefits Child enrollment discount Paid holidays Paid time off 401(k) with match Medical benefits Job Responsibilities Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Assist the Lead Teacher with the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as assisting with the maintenance of educational portfolios Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities Maintain a clean and organized classroom Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education Qualifications Must be least 18-years-old
REQUIRED
Education:
High School diploma or GED Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility
