Program Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a caring, reliable Program Assistant to support our Before and After School Care Program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys actively engaging with children. Duties Greet children and families upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly start to their time with us Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities (quiet play, homework help, games, etc.) Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment at all times Assist with snacks Assist with getting ready for school when needed Support transitions Follow program policies, safety standards, and procedures Requirements Experience working with children in various settings, such as daycare, camp, or tutoring environments, is preferred. Experience working or living with a child on the Autism spectrum is preferred. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Ability to manage behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students. Clean background Familiarity with special education practices is a plus, along with any relevant certifications in first aid or child care. Reliable transportation is a must Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and well-being through active engagement.
