The ideal candidate will bring hands-on welding expertise and a passion for workforce development, helping adult learners gain valuable technical skills for success in the welding trade. Responsibilities Assist lead Welding Instructor with classroom and lab instruction in ARC welding processes, including SMAW, MIG, FLUX, and TIG. Provide students with guidance on safety practices, welding techniques, and equipment use. Monitor student progress and offer individualized assistance to reinforce skill development. Help maintain welding equipment, labs, and instructional materials to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. Support classroom management and ensure adherence to program rules, safety protocols, and professional standards. Collaborate with instructional staff to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum of 5 years of ARC welding experience including SMAW, MIG, FLUX, and TIG welding; OR Graduation from an accredited welding program (such as New Horizons Regional Education Centers CTE High School Program or CFAAT Adult Welding Program). Availability to work evening classes on either Monday/Wednesday 6:00 PM - 9:00
PM Preferred:
Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience in a technical or industrial setting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Commitment to fostering a supportive and safe learning environment. Work Environment Evening schedule with consistent hours. Instruction will take place in welding lab facilities equipped with professional-grade tools and safety equipment. Hands-on, collaborative learning environment with adult learners.
