£95 - £105 per day

ASAP (trial days available now)

Monday to Friday, term-time only

Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in an SEMH setting, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 5-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, often alongside additional learning difficulties. You'll work closely with experienced staff, gaining hands-on training while helping pupils build trust, regulate emotions, and engage in learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement Assisting with learning, development, and wellbeing Supporting students with personal care needs where required, in a respectful and dignified manner Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals Helping to create a structured, safe, and positive learning environment This position is ideal for: Aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, or therapists Graduates or career changers interested in SEMH and inclusive education Individuals who are patient, resilient, empathetic, and confident managing behaviour

A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Confidence in supporting behaviour and emotional needs Willingness to support personal care (training can be provided) Previous experience in education, youth work, or care settings (desirable, not essential) Full-time availability and commitment Why Apply?
