Hours:
35+ hours/week (Must be available for occasional after-school support)
Timeline:
ASAP Start | Potential for Summer (ESY) and 2026-2027 School Year Role Overview We are seeking a resilient, highly skilled behavioral support professional to provide 1:1 assistance for students at the Elementary , Middle and High School levels. This role is designed for a "non-reactive" educator who excels at de-escalation and proactive intervention. This position offers an immediate start with the opportunity to secure a long-term contract for both the Extended School Year (ESY) and the Next School Year (NSY), pending successful performance this semester.
Key Responsibilities Behavioral Management:
Implement student-specific Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) with high fidelity.
Proactive Intervention:
Identify triggers and redirect students prior to behavioral escalation; maintain a calm, neutral, and non-reactive presence during high-stress moments.
Data Tracking:
Monitor and document student responses, behavioral triggers, and progress for administrative review.
Personal Care & Support:
Assist with daily living activities, which may include toileting and hygiene support as needed.
Flexible Support:
While primarily a 1:1 role, candidates must be willing to pivot and assist the broader classroom team when required.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Proven track record of managing intense behaviors in an adolescent or secondary school setting.
Temperament:
Ability to remain composed and professional in physically or emotionally taxing situations.
Safety Training:
CPI, Safety-Care, or similar crisis intervention training is strongly preferred.
Flexibility:
Willingness to stay after school hours to support students in extracurricular or extended-day programs.
Position Details Status:
Full-Time (35+ hours)
Duration:
Contract renewal potential based on performance.
