Job Description

Teaching Assistant - Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Parkside Community Montessori is currently hiring both full-time and part-time teaching assistants to join our warm, collaborative team. As a proud member school of the American Montessori Society (AMS), Parkside is committed to authentic Montessori education and nurturing the growth of both children and educators. This position is ideal for enthusiastic individuals interested in early childhood education and looking for meaningful professional development. Parkside offers opportunities for advancement, including scholarship support for those pursuing education or education-related fields. We are also an approved subsidy provider, allowing us to support a diverse community of families and educators.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the lead teacher in maintaining a calm, respectful, and engaging classroom environment Assisting with classroom setup, organization, and material preparation Supervising children during work periods, outdoor play, and transitions Supporting children's independence, social development, and emotional well-being Assisting with diapering, toileting, and other care needs as appropriate Communicating positively and professionally with children, families, and staff Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or similar position is preferred but not required Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus A passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive educational experience for all students If you're passionate about working with young children and eager to grow in a supportive Montessori community, we'd love to hear from you!
