Job Description

Smilie Memorial School is seeking an energetic and caring Specialized Assistant to work with students in Pre-school. This position is responsible for supporting students, special educators and classroom teachers within the regular school setting. The position involves performing a variety of supportive activities with a diverse population of students. This position is part-time (.44 FTE). Qualified candidates should enjoy working with and engaging with pre-school students, have the ability to communicate effectively and work independently. Candidates must be reliable, have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand and/or walk for extended periods of time to support students.
