Job Description

Putney Central School, nestled on a 180-acre campus in the Connecticut River Valley of southern Vermont and serving 200 students in grades PK - 8, is seeking applicants for the position of paraeducator as a part of our elementary team, for the the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part time position, working only Fridays.

This position offers an educator the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, community members and organizations and to develop and contribute to educational initiatives to improve the learning experience of every student.

The successful candidate will have experience working with youth in a variety of settings, be flexible in their approach, have strong collaboration skills and a desire to learn and grow as part of a vibrant educational community. In addition, this person must be comfortable working with children in a nature- and play-based setting.
