Job Description

South Royalton Elementary School is seeking a high-energy, engaging Paraeducator to provide support across the school for the 20262027 school year. We are looking for a flexible, collaborative team player who enjoys working with young children and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for success in school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting early learners as they build independence, develop social-emotional skills, and engage in meaningful learning experiences. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with classroom teachers and school staff in a positive, student-centered environment.

Essential ResponsibilitiesSupport the classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and daily routines.

Assist students individually and in small groups with academic, social, and behavioral learning goals.

Foster student independence and encourage positive problem-solving skills.

Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.

Support students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities as needed.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and other staff members.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

QualificationsHigh School Degree and a passing score on Highly Qualified AssessmentORAssociates Degree or 60 college credits
