Job Description

Littlest Lambs at Grace Early Learning Center is hiring a dynamic Assistant Teacher to work with children at our infant center. This position is in one of our infant or toddler classes and works closely with other classrooms in the center. The assistant teacher will work up to 8 hours each day to assist the lead teacher with their curriculum and classroom management, and will also be responsible to help with classroom supervision. This position requires the ability to multitask, communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment.
Daily Duties Include:
Working with one or more teachers or classrooms. Communicating with parents about their child's day. Getting down on the floor and engaging in child's play. Changing diapers, serving meals, and preparing bottles. Properly responding to injuries and behavioral incidents. Providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children to learn and grow.
Job Requirements:
A passion for teaching young children. Kindness and showing up with a smile each day. Strong oral and written communication skills . Organized, motivated, and inspiring. Be dependable, reliable, and punctual. Must clear full background check and pass health screening. Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must have Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification. A basic understanding of child development. Must have completed the Fundamentals course or a Child Development class (or be open to obtaining them through Northern Lights CCV). Able to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm with occasional days off and holidays. Must know or be willing to learn the
CBCCP VT
State Regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 35 pounds. (Must be able to change diapers.) Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. Must also be able to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
