This position is vital to our mission of ensuring all students achieve grade-level expectations through specialized support and inclusive practices. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for student growth and a positive contributor to our collaborative school community.

Primary Responsibilities

Implement and support elements of student instructional and behavioral plans under the direction of licensed professionals.

Foster student independence to ensure full participation in all school activities, promoting growth in every interaction.

Assist with activities of daily living, which may include personal care and physical support.

Collaborate as a positive team member with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure instructional continuity.

Supervise students during assigned duties, which may include lunch, recess, transitions, and potentially supporting students on the bus ride to or from school.

Maintain professional integrity by carrying out school and district policies and advocating for inclusive education.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional rapport and serve as a dedicated advocate for students.

A problem-solving approach and a flexible nature when navigating the diverse needs of students in a Pre-K through 8th-grade environment.

The physical ability to meet the requirements of the job, including lifting as needed to support student safety and care.

Exceptional patience and poise when guiding students through daily school activities and transitions.

A persistent willingness to learn and adapt to new instructional strategies or behavioral supports.

A commitment to the CVSD mission and the development of a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all learners.

Please apply via SchoolSpring with a letter of interest, resume, and two current letters of reference.

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package based upon qualifications, education, and experience. More information about CVSD can be found on our district website.
