The Early Education Assistant role is responsible for supporting an Early Education classroom in all non-instructional areas while learning the BASIS model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Learns and adheres to campus or licensing requirements including related to safety. Assists with lesson material creation. Keeps students engaged during class. Provides classroom management, as needed. Provides input to evaluation of students and their progress throughout the school year. Provides student academic support and tutoring, as needed. Participates in classroom events, labs and testing. Monitors and manage non-instructional time, to include Early and/or Late Bird supervision, and lunch and recess monitor responsibilities, if applicable. Coordinates assignments for absent students. Assists with school admissions events, as mutually agreed to.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university required. 1-2 years' experience in a school environment or in an instructional capacity preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
