This position plays an active role in implementing scheduled activities, supervising children during play and routines, and maintaining positive, professional relationships with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities Classroom Support & Instruction:

Assist in executing age-appropriate daily activities and lesson plans; help prepare learning materials and set up classroom stations.

Active Child Supervision:

Maintain continuous visual and auditory supervision of children at all times, including during outdoor play, mealtimes, and transitions, to ensure physical safety.

Daily Care & Hygiene:

Assist children with personal hygiene routines, including handwashing, mealtime preparation, and restroom/diapering duties, adhering strictly to health and sanitation guidelines.

Classroom Operations:

Help clean, sanitize, and organize classroom spaces, toys, and equipment throughout the day to meet state licensing and center standards.

Parent & Team Communication:

Log daily activities, naps, and meals using approved parent communication tools (e.g., Brightwheel) and provide updates to the Center Director regarding child observations or behavior. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Initial ECE Certificate required. Prior experience working with young children in a licensed child care center or structured environment required. Current CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Ability to pass state and federal background checks. Physical & Operational Demands Ability to lift up to 30-45 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Strong team communication, reliability, and emotional patience. Ability to learn and effectively use center management technology (e.g., Brightwheel).

Pay:

$19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
