Montessori Assistant Teacher (Ages 3-6 Years) School Year 2026-2027 | Summer & Fall Positions Available About Us We are a nurturing Montessori school dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for children. We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team for Summer 2026 and/or the 2026-2027 School Year. Position Overview The Montessori Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in maintaining a prepared Montessori environment and helping children develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning. Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Support children ages 3-6 years during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions. Help prepare and maintain Montessori materials and classroom supplies. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Encourage children's independence while providing appropriate guidance and support. Assist with classroom observations and record keeping as directed. Follow licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and school policies. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events. Qualifications Experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, or Montessori setting preferred. Montessori experience or training is a plus but not required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with children. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
