Now Hiring:
Full-Time Assistant Teacher About Us Cela's Creative Learning Academy is a Christian-based Early Achievers participant located in Medical Lake, WA. For over 18 years, we have served children ages 4 months through 12 years. Our mission is to provide a safe, healthy, happy, and educational environment by thoughtfully preparing activities with each child's best interest in mind. Duties & Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher in supervising, engaging, and nurturing children in a classroom setting. Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and purposeful learning experiences. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and care of program equipment to ensure a well-prepared learning environment. Foster open, ongoing communication with parents and caregivers regarding their child's needs and progress; assist with parent-teacher conferences twice per year. Model caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and the Golden Rule in all interactions with children, families, staff, and the community. Learn and adhere to Washington State DCYF licensing regulations, Early Achievers standards, and Cela's policies and best practices, as directed by leadership. Participate in family events, staff meetings, and required trainings. Qualifications Loving and nurturing personality Team-oriented with a positive attitude Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication skills Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood Education Familiarity with Early Achievers standards Certificate or degree in ECE, or ability to complete an ECE Short Certificate within 5 years (scholarships available) Minimum one year of experience in a licensed early childhood classroom (ages 12-30 months or 4-5 years) Washington State Licensing Requirements TB test within the past 12 months Infant/Child First Aid & CPR (in person) Bloodborne Pathogens training Washington State Food Worker Card Portable Background Check cleared through
