In this role, you will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Your work will help foster children's growth in social, emotional, and early learning skills, while contributing to a positive and supportive classroom community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and daily activities Assist with lesson preparation and provide one-on-one or small group support Help create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Promote children's development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas Model positive behavior and guide children in routines and social skills Communicate respectfully with families and support parent partnerships Follow WA state licensing requirements and maintain CPR/First Aid certification Assist with record-keeping, classroom organization, and daily operations
Qualifications:
CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent (preferred) WA State ECE Stackable Certificate or related coursework Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) 1-3 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred) Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift children and work indoors and outdoors
