Job Description
Become a Summer Assistant Teacher with PNWK Forest School! Do you love being outdoors and working with children? We are in search of upbeat and energetic teachers to join our growing team of caring educators.
Part-Time:
22 hrs/wkSchedule:
Mon & Wed (8:45am-4:45pm) AND Tue & Th (8:45am-12:45pm) Start date: June 15th - 22nd End date: August 21st Possible opportunities to continue into school year.Hourly Pay:
$22-24 PNWK offers paid online and in person training! Duties with Children Ensure the children are safe and accounted for, maintaining visual and auditory supervision at all times Model appropriate behaviors by interacting with children in a supportive and open-minded manner Actively support social-emotional growth using positive, respectful and developmentally appropriate language Assist Lead in maintaining class schedule and responding to class needs Professional Expectations Positively project the mission, goals, philosophy and policies of the preschool to families, staff and community Regularly arrive for work on time and prepared for the day Attend professional development workshops and follow training plans as provided Participate in monthly team meetings Work positively & collaboratively with team, maintaining open and respectful communication Qualifications At least one year of experience working with groups of children Excellent executive functioning skills, strong multitasker & communicator Loves working with young children and is energetic and passionate about working one-on-one with children, as well as with groups of children Be able to crouch down, bend down, and stand outside in varying weather for long periods. Team player, able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in an all-outdoor, all-weather setting Must have (or be willing to obtain) a Current Emergency First Aid and Child CPR certificate Must pass a background check. Proof of Measels Vaccination Proof Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to all Snohomish County locations when needed Smart phone with ability to download and utilize school communication apps daily Be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs.Pay:
