Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Building Administrator and/or Special Education Administrator is responsible for applying specialized skills supporting the transportation of students to and from school. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. This is a temporary position expected to continue through the 2026-2027 school year, or until the position is no longer needed based on student needs, whichever occurs first.
Special Duties/Responsibilities:
The bus attendant will ride from Snohomish School District to Redmond each morning, accompanying a small group of students from their homes to school. In the afternoon, the attendant will ride back with the students from Redmond to Snohomish and remain on the bus until they are dropped off at home. Attendant must be able to buckle and unbuckle student. Hours may vary due to traffic conditions.
Students Served:
Life Skills students have significant cognitive and adaptive delays who require specialized life skills and functional academic instruction.
Salary Range:
$27.91
74 per hour Paraeducator A per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation .
Work Schedule:
Split Shift:
Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m.
- 9:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
- 4:15 p.m.; Fridays 6:30 a.m.
- 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
- 2:00 p.
m.
Paid Hours:
6.0 hours per day
Calendar:
9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Blood Borne Pathogen Training, provided at time of hire. Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
