Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Infant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment tailored to infants' developmental needs. Your positive energy and caregiving skills will inspire curiosity, foster growth, and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of infants. Support daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap time, and playtime with patience and care. Ensure a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices. Engage with children through interactive play, encouraging exploration and sensory experiences that support early childhood development. Observe and document individual progress and behaviors to inform teaching strategies and communicate effectively with families. Help manage classroom organization, including setting up materials, maintaining supplies, and ensuring equipment is safe and functional. Collaborate with team members to create inclusive activities that accommodate children with diverse needs or disabilities. Qualifications Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required. Familiarity with special education techniques and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills combined with compassionate caregiving abilities. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families. Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and maintain a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
